20km
from both Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred, Sebumo Tude is situated
in the idyllic Kasouga Valley, Southwell. Kenton-on-Sea has a distinct
sea holiday feeling to it and Port Alfred’s Marina reminds
one of St Tropez in the sixties, where urbanites gather to unwind.
Out of season, the town is beautifully quiet with the locals coming
out of hibernation. Port Alfred’s tourist attractions are rapidly
expanding, showing an increase in restaurants and shops.
In Bathurst you will find the more arty type. Adjacent to the Protea
Hotel is the largest pineapple in the world. Learn more about pineapples
and take a look over Bathurst and its surrounds from the outlook
spot at the top of the giant pineapple. During the pineapple season
you can try the locally brewed pineapple beer.
Grahamstown is famous for hosting the National Arts Festival in
July, where you’ll find all forms of art and culture, catering
for everyone’s choice of entertainment. Arts, crafts and curios
are also found at every turn. Grahamstown is steeped in history with
beautiful old buildings and churches as it legacy. The Observatory
Museum houses the only “Camera Obscura” in the Southern
Hemisphere. More than a 100 years later viewers still marvel at the
miniature reflections on the circular table. |
